Recording Officers Report - July 2006
The July comp saw 15 anglers take to the boats, 10 male anglers, 2 ladies, 2 juniors (1 boy and 1 girl) and 1 sub junior. Conditions were perfect after a foggy start and Rod turned on a great BBQ after the comp.
A few good bream were caught with the biggest being caught by Jon Thompson, a 337 nudging out Andy Parkinson with a 330. Other species caught were Trevally, Whiting and Flathead the largest fish being a Flathead caught by Elise Hardiman, 460 and a 450 caught by yours truly.
Jon Thompson took out Most Points 1407 with Joel Price as runner up with 1294.
The ladies and juniors fished without luck for the Bream so the patch for juniors will go to the smallest angler, Jordan Cinc.
The Team score will go to Jon Thompson and Allen Cleary with 1477, Team Strike, runner up is Joel Price and Andrew Jones with 1294, Weapons of Bass Destruction.
Thank you to all who have fished in the comps this past Bass and Bream season and Good Luck in the coming season.
Thank you to Allen Cleary for his help with the catch sheets and Rod Hardiman who along with Elise has provided drinks and a great lunch after each outing.
Next comp is to be held at Berowa, one week later than usual due to John Bethune Testimonial Day now on 27th August - 6am start. See you there.

A cold start to the morning saw everybody rugged up tight with anticipation of a hard day on the water. To say it was tough is an understatement. With cold-water temps he or she who could find fish caught fish (a good pre-fish hey Rod). To sum it up tough conditions plenty of fish caught from Whiting to Jewfish but only a hand full of bream.
Next comp is to be held in Sydney Harbour, 23rd July - 6am start. See you there.

Recording Officers Report - May 2006
Conditions were great for a top day on the water for HNBAA anglers who enjoy participating in our monthly comps, the experienced anglers again proving that there are plenty of fish to be caught.
Andy Parkinson and Mal Dilkes came back early from a comp up north to build up our numbers with Andy taking out most points, 1385.
Allen Cleary and Jon Thompson were the Best Team on the day with 1412, Allen also caught

Janelle Cinc took the ladies points 256 and Pam Owen, caught the most fish but unfortunately whiting, taylor and flathead don’t score in a Bream comp.

Recording Officers Report - January 2006
The January Comp had 25 anglers take to the water. The Kayakers launched at Hanna Park with the boats starting at Windsor. There were 3 Juniors and 1 Sub Junior and 3 Ladies as well as the usual crew of blokes. The most points in the member section went to Peter Walker with 1397 followed by Kris Cameron with 1351, Kath Cameron 1319 and Jon Thompson 1318. Most points for Junior, Ashley Arthur 889. Best Team went to Windsor Bait & Tackle, Kath and Kris Cameron. Kath Cameron took out the Ladies section followed by Janelle Cinc. Jordan Cinc was the only Sub-Junior fi shing without luck. Apologies to Dave Parker for incorrect publication in newsletter for the Largest Bass, which Dave did take out with a nice 370mm and Rod Lamb again took out Biggest Bass on Fly, 240. Competition winner, Peter Walker has been doing a bit of practice this month catching a very nice 453 Bass on 7 January at 9.30 pm. Good one Peter and welcome to the 400 Club.
A reminder to anglers that the Interclub is on next month so get your entry in as soon as possible. The Interclub will be TWO Comps for HNBAA Members so here is your chance to get some catch up points for the Club Championships as every category is still wide open and at this moment most anglers can still stake out the top spots.

Recording Officers Report - November 2005
All boats departed the Penrith Boat Ramp between 5am and 6am Sunday 20th November 2005 with a few anglers taking advantage of an early start resulting in an excellent number of fish caught. In all 158 Bass were caught by 13 members, 1 Junior and 5 Sub Juniors. Andy Parkinson had 33 Bass in his catch and recorded 1375. Jon Thompson scored 1290, 12 fish caught and all accurately measured and witnessed. Jon also landed the largest Bass, 342. Andrew Follan caught the largest Bass on Fly being a 275.
FLY ANGLERS PLEASE NOTE You are required to mark on the Catch Sheet the fi sh taken on Fly by marking in the Day column “FLY” to be eligible in the Fly Anglers Trophy. All other anglers just circle the day at the top left hand corner of the reverse side of the Catch Sheet. The Junior Comp was taken out by Elise Hardiman with 971 closely followed by Sub Junior, Zoe Cleary with 895 points.
The best Team score was 1375 points recorded by “The Bass Boys” Andy Parkinson and Malcolm Dilkes.
Members are again reminded to measure fi sh to the nearest mm and not 1⁄2 cm, also Catch Sheets MUST be in within 1⁄2 hour of the finish time and have fi sh caught, WITNESSED. It is also of a concern that fi sh may be kept in live wells in large numbers for measuring at the end of the comp. Fisheries allow only 2 fi sh of legal size per person to be held in possession, so only fish for photos should be held.
CATCH AND RELEASE.
