Inter Club Challenge

Entry fee:
$55.00 Adults $35.00 Juniors

Temporary membership with HNBAA is available for $1 for this weekend, if you are not a member of another club, please pay additional $1 with your entry fee if this is required.

Venue:
990 River Road, Lower Portland

Accommodation & Amenities:
Accommodation is camping only so bring your own tents and gear. Caravans and campers are quite welcome. There are showers, electricity, toilet blocks and water. B.Y.O. Drinking water.

Registration:
6pm to 8pm on Friday 22nd February 2008

Briefing:
Will be on Friday night, 22nd February and will start around 8.00pm.
All competition rules & regulations, fishing areas and details will be discussed and catch forms made available.

Fishing times:
Saturday 23rd: 6.00am to 5.00pm (all catch sheets to be handed in by 5.30pm)
Sunday 24th: 6.00am to 11.00am (all catch sheets to be in by 11.30am)

Safety:
Worthiness of craft being used in this event is the responsibility of the competing angler and safety is of prime importance. Contestants fishing the Inter Club do so at their own volition and risk.
All craft must comply to Waterways safety rules.
Hawkesbury Nepean Bass Anglers Association will not accept any responsibility for accident, injury or loss occasioned during this event.

Meals & alcohol :
HNBAA will be providing a sausage sizzle on friday night prior to the briefing and sunday lunch time prior to the presentation. The catered meal on saturday night will to be provided by HNBAA. The catered evening meal will consist of a main course followed by desert and coffee. This will commence at 7pm sharp.
Please organise your own food for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and lunch on Saturday.
No alcohol is provided,
BYO.

Fishing:
All fish must be measured on a Fisheries tape measure. Measures will be made available at the briefing. All anglers must hold a current nsw recreational fishing licence. All bass measured to fork length. All catches must be verified by another team so live wells are mandatory and no dead fish will count.
Access must be via the camping site and no boats are to leave prior to 6.00am.

Competition Rules:
1. Fishing will be by lure and or fly only (no bait or burley)
2. All hooks are to be made barbless.
3. All competitors must fish in teams of two anglers only. If 3 in boat one angler to swing. Nomination must be made prior to fishing.
4. All fish recorded must be measured by another opposing team and catch forms signed
(to count in your top 5 fish).
5. In the event of a draw a count back on next best fish will take place.
6. The event is run on a “Catch & Release“ basis. Please capture, measure, photograph (if you wish) and release all fish (except carp) as quickly as possible.
The committee’s decision on all matter pertaining to the competition is final. Any or all rules may be subject to changes, without prior written warnings, but this will be explained in the Friday night briefing.

Point score & trophies:
Champion club: best 5 fish from club
Champion team: best 5 fish from team.
Champion male: best 5 fish from individual.
Champion female: best 5 fish from individual.
Champion junior male best 5 fish from 16yrs/under competitor.
Champion junior female best 5 fish from 16yrs/under competitor
Champion sub-junior male best 5 fish from 9yrs/under competitor.
Champion sub-junior female best 5 fish from 9yrs/under competitor.
Longest bass (lure): best individual bass captured.
Longest bass (fly): best bass captured on fly.
Longest (other species): best other species captured (lure or fly).

Presentation:
The presentation will be held at 1.00pm Sunday 24th February 2008.

Entry and Contacts:
Entries will close 1st Feb 2008. Owing to the fact that we need the numbers for the food catering.
The event is limited to 100 anglers only fishing the competition. The first 100 entries received will be accepted. Avoid disappointment and return your entry early.
Late entries or entries without payment will not be accepted.
